During a residency at the AMRO Research Lab 2023, sound & infrastructure artist vo ezn experimented with modalities of monitoring infrastructural situatedness embedded in the server room.

vo ezn focuses on the conditions of connection between the participants of a network: the server status (and its room), the personal configuration of the server maintainer, and the networked mood of the webspace visitor. They all contribute to and are visualized by a non-linear, poetic interface in the web server.

This project was invited by servus.at and is related to servus.at's Artist Run Data Center project series, in which artists working with network infrastructure are given computational resources to explore and question technological norms.
