FEBRUAR NULL (FEBRUARY ZERO)

Post-apocalyptic state description, Film
STWST 1. Floor, Water Chamber
Continuous

FEBRUARY ZERO is a post-apocalyptic state description from a first-person perspective, in which the audio piece by Linz-based formation Fang den Berg merges with machinima elements to create a constricting, audiovisual cosmos.

If it doesn't happen, it will happen soon….

FEBRUAR NULL is psychogram and dystopia. The film reveals the inner world of a sociopath and at the same time conjures up the atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic future. A radio play by the Austrian formation “Fang den Berg” combines with machinima aesthetics and experimental real film sequences to create an intense audiovisual cosmos.

The action is portrayed from the first-person perspective. One speaking position, two voices: embedded in a dazzling soundscape, from dark ambient to noiserock, and illustrated with darkly bizarre animations and shots.

If one believes the protagonist Corall's explanations, he is locked in a laboratory facility and sends voice messages from there to the outside world - without ever receiving an answer. Hunger drives him to ingest a plant substance unknown to him. Under its influence, he seems to regain his memory for a short time: he reports a war of global proportions and becomes convinced that he was responsible for this catastrophe. The truth remains unconfirmed. But the search for it begins again and again.

… The desert grows.

Please notice: The film is only shown in german language!
Nevertheless, we promise: You get the atmosphere.
